They meet on the second Thursday of each month with a beautiful luncheon that includes a devotion and Bible study. A highlight of this monthly gathering is a featured speaker from the community, providing presentations on topics of interest to and assistance for seniors. In addition, they enjoy a very special evening event once a year with a gourmet dinner, beautiful surroundings and live entertainment.
Pastor Goldhammer’s dedicated ministry to seniors enables him, together with others in the congregation, to develop a very personal and responsive relationship with each and every one of the individuals in the congregation who are in this age group. He welcomes any and all who find themselves in need of his attention, be it a phone call or a personal visit at home, in the hospital, or in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church actively seeks new participation from its membership and community, endeavoring to include any who are “age 55 and better” to enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of this vital ministry. Anyone interested in learning more about this active group may call Pastor Goldhammer at the church office 303-798-0711.
