For over 50 years, God has been doing and continues to do powerful work here at Shepherd of the Hills. This is His ministry, His church. The long-term outreach potential to our community in Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, and beyond is very great considering our location and established ministries such as our school. God calls us to walk in faith with him, and follow his leading. So, after diligent study and prayerful consideration, given the challenges but also the tremendous opportunities we must aid in the growth of His Kingdom, the committee decided that rebuilding a part of the facilities would be the best approach moving forward.
Building the Worship Ministry Center would be a bold and comprehensive step forward in Faith to bring the Love of Christ to the entire South Denver Metropolitan area!
After much research, we discovered things our current members wished were different, and things non-members and neighbors thought about Shepherd and went to the drawing board. (see the link for the full committee report below)
There were some key things that needed improvement:
- An obvious “front door”
- To look like a church from University Blvd.
- A place where everybody could gather between services and mingle
- A center aisle for ceremonies
This video is really just a sketch of things we could do, and not everything is included, like where an organ would go, where a praise band would go and more. But, on our existing site, we could truly have a transformational building, and a beautiful, uplifting improvement to our current campus.
