Christian World Outreach

Christian World Outreach is a Colorado based mission organization founded by Dean Yoder and Joel St. Amour in Haiti.  CWO has ministries in Burkina Faso, Haiti, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Joel and Marie St. Amour serve in Haiti where they have vocational training schools in Port-Au-Prince and Mirebalais. The vocation training schools are places for young women to learn skills in sewing, cooking, and cosmetology, so they may provide for their families and villages. A daily chapel time is held where the women who attend the school hear the Good News of Christ’s love. CWO also provides lunch for the neighborhood children three times a week along with a Christ-centered devotion. This ministry provides Vacation Bible Schools to villages located in Haiti’s interior, Youth Camps, and leadership training for Haitian Pastors and leaders.

Burkina Faso also has a vocational training school to teach young ladies from the villages sewing and agriculture.  In the first class, 20 young women graduated in the spring of 2014. This allows them to return to the villages with a skill to earn a living and share their faith in Jesus. A mobile medical clinic is also provided to the neighboring villages to provide care where little or no medical services are available. Alasanne and  Dina Compaory serve in Burkina Faso.

Onias and Winnie Tapera serve in Zimbabwe.  Orphan care and a children’s camp are provided. Pastoral leadership is provided, including practical and Biblical skills. Training leaders is important to make a difference by improving the conditions in their churches, schools and communities.  Books and other resources are also made available through the mobile library.

Bill and Marci Hoover serve in Zambia.  Their ministry provides for orphan care, especially older street kids ages 14-20 plus, who are alcoholics, drug addicts and/or homeless, to get them back in school and give them a community where they are loved and valued.  AIDS education is also provided to the entire country’s police force.
